Desh TV – Head of Finance & Accounts

• Desh Television Ltd. is is one of the prestigious and popular satellite TV channel in Bangladesh looking for some personnel for its various department.
• Overall responsibilities of Finance of the organization.
• Effectively manage, control & disburse fund, monitor budgetary control system & ensure accounts book update on a regular basis.
• Prepare reports for management summarizing financial position in the areas of income, expenditure, capital usage and cash flows. Ensure data accuracy.
• Follow up products costing and preparation of monthly / yearly cost budget.
• Establish credit control.
• Manage Tax/VAT/Custom/Excise duty & any other related legal issues.
• Ensure internal control system.
• Manage supply chain, follow-up with L/C and other related issues.
• Follow up utilization of fund with the bank and maintain close liaison with financial institutions.
• Consolidation of audit reports and accounting analysis as well as other activities.
• Assist with the preparation of strategic plans, budgets and financial forecast.
• To plan and implement accounts & financial policy of the company and its sister/associate company in consultation the Chairman/ MD.

• Matured personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively translate ideas, concepts and information;
• Strong leadership abilities, good positive attitude with innovative and outgoing personality with high level of integrity;
• Able to work under pressure and independently. Self-starter with strong analytical mind and sharp commercial perspective;
• Demonstrate ability to manage, motivate and develop a team and effectively work with other staff.
• Sound knowledge in entire standard accounting procedures and their application.
• Sound knowledge in latest accounting practices
• Good presentation, communication and report writing skill
• Excellent aptitude in MS Excel / spreadsheet and MS Word is essential. Expertise in any Accounting Software will be treated as extra quality.
• Experience in related field is an added advantage.
